Heather Eichorn RD, LDN
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
Over the last ten years, I have dedicated my practice to working with clients struggling with eating disorders and other mental health concerns. I have had the opportunity to work in higher levels of care, including residential care, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). Now I have decided to transition from my nutrition program director role at Eating Recovery Center in order to focus on individual nutrition counseling.
I believe that it takes a community to recover from an eating disorder and feel I can make the most impact by developing meaningful therapeutic relationships with my clients in an outpatient setting while also working to strengthen connections in the ED-support community in Chicago through service and outreach.
I value the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their relationship with food and cultivate valued-focused living. Working together from a place of curiosity, we will unpack and challenge beliefs and eating patterns that you have identified are no longer helpful in your life. I am here to support you with compassion and understanding while also encouraging risk-taking as you move forward on your journey to recovery.
